Daily Averages Gold Clearing Data - August 2024

The volume of gold transferred in August increased by 10.9% month on month (m/m) to 18.2 mn ounces, with the corresponding value transferred up 14.3% m/m to $44.9 bn. There were 6,643 transfers, 26.1% higher m/m, with the clearers settling on average 2,737 ounces per transfer, 12% lower m/m.

Daily Averages Silver Clearing Data - August 2024

For silver, the volume of ounces transferred decreased by 6.2% m/m to 215.6 mn ounces, with the corresponding value transferred down 10.1% m/m to $6.1 bn. The number of transfers decreased by 5.8% m/m to 2,455, with the clearers settling on average 87,823 ounces per transfer, 0.4% lower m/m.

The average gold/silver price ratio in July increased to 86.5 from 80.5 in July.
