The volume of gold transferred in June decreased by 9.5% month on month (m/m) to 17.2 mn ounces, with the corresponding value transferred down 11.6% m/m to $33.4 bn. There were 4,427 transfers, 10.8% lower m/m, with the clearers settling on average 3,883 ounces per transfer, 1.5% higher m/m.

Daily Averages Silver Clearing Data - June 2023

For silver, the volume of ounces transferred decreased by 2.8% m/m to 236.5 mn ounces, with the corresponding value transferred down 5.7% m/m to $5.5 bn. The number of transfers decreased by 11.1% m/m to 1,701, with the clearers settling on average 139,013 ounces per transfer, 9.4% higher m/m.

The average gold/silver price ratio in June was up to 83.0 from 82.4 in May.
