Daily Averages Gold Clearing Data - March 2024

The volume of gold transferred in March increased by 11.7% month on month (m/m) to 19.9 mn ounces, with the corresponding value transferred up 19.1% m/m to $42.9 bn. There were 5,180 transfers, 12.8% higher m/m, with the clearers settling on average 3,839 ounces per transfer, 0.9% lower m/m.

Daily Averages Silver Clearing Data - March 2024

For silver, the volume of ounces transferred increased by 26.2% m/m to 292.2 mn ounces, with the corresponding value transferred up 36% m/m to $7.1 bn. The number of transfers increased by 64.3% m/m to 2,319, with the clearers settling on average 125,997 ounces per transfer, 23.2% lower m/m.

The average gold/silver price ratio in March decreased to 88.3 from 89.2 in February.
