Daily Averages Gold Clearing Data - October 2023

The volume of gold transferred in October increased by 6.1% month on month (m/m) to 17.3 mn ounces, with the corresponding value transferred up 5.9% m/m to $33.1 bn. There were 4,727 transfers, 14.9% higher m/m, with the clearers settling on average 3,665 ounces per transfer, 7.7% lower m/m.

Daily Averages Silver Clearing Data - October 2023

For silver, the volume of ounces transferred decreased by 9.5% m/m to 212.6mn ounces, with the corresponding value transferred down 13.1% m/m to $4.8bn. The number of transfers decreased by 11.5% m/m to 1,326, with the clearers settling on average 160,295 ounces per transfer, 2.2% higher m/m.

The average gold/silver price ratio in October increased to 85.7 from 82.5 in September.
