Daily Averages Gold Clearing Data - March 2023

The volume of gold transferred in March increased by 5.9% month on month (m/m) to 18.7 mn ounces, with the corresponding value transferred up 9.3% m/m to $35.8 bn. There were 4,798 transfers, 11.2% higher m/m, with the clearers settling on average 3,901 ounces per transfer, 4.8% lower m/m.

Daily Averages Silver Clearing Data - March 2023

For silver, the volume of ounces transferred increased by 12.2% m/m to 302.4 mn ounces, with the corresponding value transferred up 11.7% m/m to $6.6 bn. The number of transfers decreased by 0.4% m/m to 1,840, with the clearers settling on average 164,386 ounces per transfer, 12.6% higher m/m.

The average gold/silver price ratio in March was up to 87.3 from 84.2 in February.
